The deadline

Can you recover deleted Snapchat Memories?

No. Once Snapchat has deleted Memories they cannot be restored, not by you and not by Snapchat support. There is no bin and no grace period. That is why the only thing that works is getting them out before they are deleted.

No. Once Memories are deleted there is no way to get them back. Not through the app, not through Snapchat support, not through a data request. Snapchat has written it themselves: lost Memories cannot be recovered.

That covers both cases: the things you delete yourself by accident, and the things deleted when the storage limit takes effect. There is no bin with a 30 day grace period the way there is in Google Photos or iCloud.

A warning about the advice you find online. There are plenty of guides promising that deleted snaps can be rescued from the cache folders on your phone, or by restoring the whole phone from an iCloud backup. The cache method applies at best to snaps you recently *viewed*, not to Memories that Snapchat has deleted from its servers. And wiping your phone to roll back to an old backup deletes everything you have done since. Several of those pages are also written by AI and say in their own small print that the content should not be treated as fact.

What actually works is dull: get your memories out before they are deleted. Ask Snapchat for the export, save it somewhere you control, and stop depending on an app to keep them for you.

If you have already lost something, the only honest answer is that it is gone. No support ticket changes that, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. That is also the reason to do something about the rest today rather than in September, while there is still something to save.
